We are getting started on Coolest Projects for 2020! 2018 we built a child-sized, lightweight motorized wheelchair for a 5 year old in Wisconsin. 2019, Ali presented a Cozmo vending machine, a robot with artificial intelligence, that recognizes a face and fulfill a personalized request for soda. 2020, Imaad has a suggestion for chess-related project. He wants to make an accessible chess game for players without speech or fine motor movement to move the chess pieces (for example, cerebral palsy). We would love to make it a collaboration. We will need lots of help to make it work. We can use makers of all abilities, even brand new. (robotics, coding, designers). You can join us at our Thursday Engineering Lab or join us online from wherever you are in the world. First task is research and idea gathering...What is out there already? How can you play chess if your hand can't pick up the pieces and you can't speak to say which position to move it to? (But you can move your hand to show where it should go.) via MATHmania Robotics https://ift.tt/1KR8MJg
